I love all the flavors in this Slow Cooker Green Chile Shredded Beef Cabbage Bowl with Avocado Salsa. Rub the pieces of meat with Kalyn’s Taco Seasoning (or your favorite Southwestern spice blend). Paleo Green Chile Turkey Taco Salad Recipe with Peppers and Avocado.   I also wanted a taco salad that didn’t have beef, and this delicious Green Chile Turkey Taco Salad with Peppers and Avocado is the combination we came up with. And since I had canned tomatoes and green chiles, I decided it was a mexican salad and easy guacamole kind of day. My kids said it was THE BEST taco meat ever!

I, for one, am never satisfied with a ground beef taco. It feels like the peanut-butter-and-grape-jelly-on-Wonder-bread of tacos. Scatter the onion, bell peppers, and green chiles over the roast. Cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until beef is pull-apart tender. I grew up in the Southwest, eating enchiladas, tacos, pasole, and green chile. 1/2 lb ground beef – My favorite taco meat (though chicken or fish works too! ). This taco salad uses pork as the meat of choice, and includes a host of accompanying ingredients so there’s always something new to discover. While you are busy enjoying the green chile used to bring out the flavor of the pork, your mouth will also be crunching on plantain chips for added texture and flavor.
