I don’t know where tres leches (three milks) cake came from but it’s very popular in several Latin American countries. It’s basically a sponge cake soaked in a mix of evaporated milk, condensed mil. And the dessert I ordered most, hands down, was tres leches cake. If you’re not familiar, it’s typically a spongey vanilla cake which is soaked in a milk glaze and topped with whipped cream. There are not 3 milks in this cake. There is one. So the name is totally deceiving. Sorry. But its an incredibly delicious paleo cake. The cake will look dry when it comes out of the oven.
3/4 C coconut milk, 3/4 C coconut cream, 1 C almond milk, ground cinnamon.
