Paleo Sweet Banana Bread

Did you know that there are several version of Paleo-friendly banana bread you can make? No, really, there are! Many believe that by cutting out grains and wheat from your diet you’ll be giving up a staple of the American diet: bread. Basic banana bread gets an extra crunch from the addition of chopped walnuts in this easy recipe. This bread was not very sweet at all and very dry. Anything other than sandwich bread usually baked in a loaf pan, but mainly sweet breakfast or dessert breads.

I have made MANY different paleo banana bread recipes and my husband has never been terribly excited about any of them (he doesn’t eat paleo). Grain free, gluten free, dairy free Paleo Banana Bread. Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with Bourbon Maple Candied Pecans and Cranberries.

This paleo banana bread recipe is gluten-free and dairy-free and made with almond flour, coconut flour, and cardamom. Cardamom has a strong, unique taste and an intensely aromatic fragrance that’s a perfect complement to the sweet smell and taste of a banana. However, my New-York living sweet treat indulging older sister thought it had no sweet taste whatsoever. Paleo bread will never calm your cravings for Wonder Bread, but I promise that they will serve as a worthy substitute. That’s not to say I’m never tempted by those big slices of banana bread at Starbucks, or the idea of slathering butter all over a thick piece of sourdough baguette. It also has a slightly sweet and nutty flavor that’s quite lovely.
