This is a Paleo Thai Peanut Sauce with no peanuts! Instead of peanuts, it uses almond butter or sunflower butter. Tasty, sweet, and slightly spicy, it makes an incredibly delicious sauce for salads, chicken satay, spring rolls, or a dip for vegetables. Better than Peanut Sauce: Paleo Almond Satay Sauce. 24 Jan. I substituted the spicy pepper for 1 teaspoon of red curry paste. The flavor of the sauce turned out differently, but it was still good. This sauce has become quite a hit in our home. As I mentioned yesterday, I originally made this sauce intending to toss it with raw zucchini noodles.

Anywho, I use my instagram to share paleo and primal and even gluten free recipes on it. Hot chili oil to taste. When I started the Paleo diet I didn’t want to give up peanut sauce. When soft, stir in hot pepper sauce, coconut aminos, olive oil, and sea salt (if desired). I used ceres organics almond and peanut butter which was yummy.

Satay sauce usually includes peanut butter and soy sauce, but this recipe substitutes almond butter and coconut aminos. You can leave it out entirely if you don’t like spicy foods, or you can bump up the flavor and dump a lot in if you enjoy lots of heat. I know, peanuts aren’t really paleo. That’s one thing we let slide around here. More for the kids, but let’s not joke around, I love me some peanut butter. 8 Jun 2015.
