Paleo Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Paleo Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

We’ve got an egg drop soup recipe we’re happy with, but I was still trying to get the lettuce wraps just right. I just don’t care for ground turkey (it’s too strong-tasting to me).

This recipe shows you how to make carnitas using the slow cooker so you don’t have to worry about babysitting it while it cooks. This recipe is also onion free and garlic free! Holla. This Turkey Lettuce Wrap is Paleo- and SCD-friendly, gluten-free, and grain-free*.

You could make these easy Asian lettuce wraps with any protein, and further customize them based on how spicy you go with the dipping sauce. Usually when I make Asian lettuce wraps, I make a sauce with which I cook my meat, then a separate dipping sauce to serve alongside. You could use any ground protein here, I went with turkey. 4-6 ounces ground meat (cage free chicken, turkey or grass fed beef, or chopped meat if you prefer).
